On a Saturday in July with a 105 Heat Index, we arrived a Robert Allerton Park in Monticello for the wedding of Christine & Paul. Allerton is the most unique location in central Illinois for a outdoor wedding. Beautiful gardens, sculptures and the Allerton House were the background for portraits and the ceremony. The reception was held at Kennedy’s at Stone Creek Golf Course where everyone enjoyed a great meal, drinks and dancing. Thanks!

Andrea & Brent Rose / July 10,2010
On a rather warm July afternoon, Andrea & Brent began their day at the University of Illinois’ Memorial Field. These Illini fans with their family and friends chose to do portraits on the field and around the Stadium. The ceremony was at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Champaign with the reception at the Colonnades Club. This location is my favorite in Central Illinois. GO ILLINI!

Senger/Horton Wedding
I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Laura Senger & Sean Horton this past Saturday. The wedding was at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Springfield Illinois and the reception followed at the Beach House on Lake Springfield.
The day started perfectly overcast but it began to rain just as we started the portraits at Washington Park. No one cried or complained as we began to create some beautiful images of the bride & groom that included family and friends.
The rain stopped just as the ceremony began as a perfect afternoon unfolded. Music, Food, Dancing, Laughter, Drinks and Family made for a day to always remember. Thanks Laura & Sean!

Location, Location, Location!
Back in 2001 I purchased this lot at the entrance to Robert Allerton Park. My dream was to design and build a new home/office. While eating dinner one night at a steakhouse in Champaign, I borrowed a pen from the waiter and drew the plans on a napkin. Taking on the job of GC I began the construction in the Fall of 2002. We moved into our dream home in May of 2003 right as weddings and portraits were in full swing. Several years later I sold the office at 963 Iron Horse Place and moved Scott Tureskis Photography into our newly finished space. I love this location and my clients feel the same way. It’s a classy set up and a well thought out design. This image is from the studio driveway. Stop by and say hello, I would love to give you a tour.

Weddings at Allerton Park!
I have been photographing weddings at Robert Allerton Park for almost 14 years. It is my favorite location for a wedding in central Illinois. I built my home/office at the entrance of Allerton Park in 2003 so I could be close to this unique backdrop. After fifty plus weddings and hundreds of portrait sessions I still enjoy searching for new spots in the park to create images for my clients.

Another Happy Client!
“Our wedding was less than two months ago and we already have our gorgeous album in hand. We love having the candid shots provided by his other photographers (fantastic!) as well as the formal shots and all comments that we’ve gotten back on the pictures have been enthusiastically positive. We highly recommend Scott Tureskis.”
